This nut butter isn’t just a spread—it’s a nutrient-packed powerhouse, loaded with clinically proven ingredients to help lower cholesterol and boost heart health. Made from a carefully crafted mix of peanuts, almonds, flax seeds, and more, it’s not like any other product we’ve ever made and it’s not like any other nut butter ever created. 

As you know, we are a science-based company and all Step One Foods products are designed to meet the formulation standards and nutritional benchmarks set by the clinical trial performed at Mayo Clinic and University of Manitoba. Our Nut Butter is just as precisely formulated and is interchangeable with our other products in terms of nutrients of interest. 

You will find there are many commonalities with the rest of the line – peanuts, flax, almonds, plant sterols and those wonderful Saskatoon Berries!  But you’ll also find there are no walnuts or chia.  Many people have walnut allergies and some can’t eat chia but still need to lower their cholesterol - so we made the choice to exclude those ingredients from this product.  So if you’re specifically allergic to walnuts or can’t eat chia, this spread is also for you!

Packing the nut butter with natural antioxidants was especially important for maintaining nutritional integrity of those ground nuts so we used concentrated real-food sources – black strap molasses, cranberry seeds and rosemary.  Fiber comes from the nuts, flax, cranberry seeds and psyllium husk.  We chose these ingredients specifically because not only do they blend well into a creamy spread but they’re also brimming with soluble fiber. And it’s soluble fiber that traps cholesterol in the digestive system and prevents it from being absorbed.

The best part is, you can use it just like you would any other nut butter - for breakfast on an English muffin or toast, or added to Greek yogurt for a high-protein option. You can also spread it on fresh apple slices as a great afternoon snack! The possibilities are endless.
