Kay's Step One Success Story

Kay's Step One Success Story

Kay wasn’t easily convinced when she first came across Step One Foods. Like many, she’d heard countless promises from health products before—but something about Step One caught her attention. The glowing reviews and real-life success stories intrigued her, and despite her initial skepticism, Kay thought, “Why not give it a shot?” What did she have to lose when the potential gain was a natural way to lower her cholesterol without the need for medication?

For years, Kay’s doctor had suggested statins to manage her high cholesterol, but she always refused, preferring a natural approach to her health. “I’m a naturalist kind of person,” Kay says, explaining her reluctance to take medications with serious side effects. When she discovered Step One Foods through Facebook, it seemed like the perfect fit for her lifestyle.

Kay began eating Step One Foods in May 2024. Prior to that, her cholesterol numbers showed a total cholesterol level of 226, with an LDL of 147 and an HDL of 66. After incorporating Step One Foods into her daily routine, by June 2024 her total cholesterol dropped to 196, with her LDL down to 125 and her HDL at 51.

Kay was overjoyed when, after just 28 days of using Step One Foods, her cholesterol dropped 30 points. “I gave a big whoop in my doctor’s office—I was so happy!” she recalls. Her physician was impressed with her progress and even hugged her after seeing Kay's best lab results to date. The doctor and her nurse were so interested that Kay shared packets of the Blueberry Oatmeal and Sprinkles with them, encouraging them to recommend Step One Foods to other patients with high cholesterol. She is also confident that by her next annual check-up, her cholesterol will have improved even more.

Beyond high cholesterol, Kay has struggled with high blood pressure and a slightly elevated A1C level of 5.8. She’s committed to lowering those as well. She shares that as she approaches her annual physical, she typically feels anxious, not wanting to debate with her doctor about taking statins. Plus, at 67, she understands the importance of improving her health, especially after struggling to lose weight for the past seven years.

Kay's favorite Step One products include the Blueberry Oatmeal, which she enjoys for breakfast every weekday. She loves that it’s quick and easy to prepare—just add boiling water! On weekends, she treats herself to the pancake mix, which doesn’t leave her feeling bloated like regular pancakes used to. For lunch, she adds Sprinkles to a fruit shake she makes, or, when she’s short on time, she grabs a Cherry Pecan Bar.

“Step One gave me the motivation to change how I eat,” Kay explains. “It’s all clean food, so why would I want to put junk back into my body?”

For Kay, the best part of using Step One Foods is that she can avoid medications and still improve her health. She recommends Step One to anyone who will listen and has even shared bars with friends, including a bartender at Fridays.

Since finding Step One, Kay’s attitude toward her health has shifted. She’s lost 17 pounds since May, eliminated beef and pork from her diet, and cut out junk food and fried foods. Kay now feels more positive and hopeful about her future. She’s even considering starting a Tai Chi program and continues to enjoy concerts and creating art on the weekends.

Kay’s advice to others? “Eat Step One Foods, and you’ll feel the best you’ve ever felt!”
