Jennifer's Step One Success Story

Jennifer's Step One Success Story

For most of her life, Jennifer has always felt sick.

“I found out at age 65 that the reason I was sick my entire life was from celiac disease,” she said. “My cholesterol was borderline my entire life until I quit eating gluten. That's when my cholesterol started to spike.”

In removing gluten from her diet, she saw her total cholesterol levels spike to the 250 range.

Now, at 69 years-old, she’s determined to improve her overall health, starting with her heart health.

“Heart disease is very prevalent in my family and I really just want to feel better,” she said.

And after trying Step One Foods on and off again a couple of years ago, Jennifer decided to commit to the program and start consuming the products twice a day, as recommended.

“I was a little skeptical about Step One Foods, but when I saw that the Mayo Clinic conducted a clinical trial that is published in The Journal of Nutrition, I had huge confidence,” she said.

That confidence in the Step One program paid off just after two weeks of recommitting to Step One when Jennifer’s total cholesterol decreased by 66 points.

Jennifer’s health numbers before Step One Foods

Total cholesterol: 255

HDL cholesterol: 56

Triglycerides: 159

LDL cholesterol: 110

HDL cholesterol: 55

Triglycerides: 118

“I was SO happy that my cholesterol AND triglycerides went down… and my doctor was, too,” she said. “My doctor was very pleased with my results. She told me to keep doing what I was doing.”

And that’s exactly what she plans to do.

“With Step One Foods, I am eating more healthy foods and loving the product,” she said. “ I eat more regularly, too while working to get rid of some old habits.  I have started eating more fish and less red meat too. I will continue to eat my Step One products. Not only do they  work, I really like them.”

Jennifer plans to continue eating Step One, twice a day, and highly recommends the program.

“If you have high cholesterol, Step One Foods is a wonderful way to lower it and stay healthy,” she said.

Try Jennifer’s favorite Step One product: Anytime Sprinkles

“I sprinkle them on a half cup of cottage cheese and add about an oz. of juice.  They are so good with cottage cheese.  I also put Sprinkles in the blender with frozen berries, peaches, ice and juice.  Very refreshing.  I also like Chocolate Crunch Bar.  I smash it up and pour milk over it.”
